Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has tested positive for coronavirus. it is reported by RTL Today.

According to the report, he passed two tests for covid-19 and both showed the presence of infection. In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of HEALTH of the country, Bettel went into self-isolation.

The Prime Minister of Luxembourg has developed some symptoms of coronavirus, including fever and headaches, writes RTL Today. However, the politician announced that he would continue to work remotely from home.

The agency recalled that Xavier Bettel received the first component of the ASTRAZENECA vaccine on May 6. The second component was to be administered to him next week.

The politician's infection became known shortly after his visit to the European Union summit. However, as Bettel's spokeswoman noted, he observed all precautions and not a single participant in the meeting appears on the list of close contacts.

Earlier, on June 25, it became known that the Minister of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, who had previously been vaccinated against the coronavirus by the Chinese company Sinopharm, became infected with COVID-19.
