The government approved additional measures to combat "omicron"

The government approved and began implementing a plan for additional measures to combat the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet.

“The government is starting to implement a plan of additional measures to combat the spread of the new Omicron coronavirus strain in RUSSIA and prepare the healthcare system to help those with covid-19,” the government’s website said in a statement.

The Cabinet noted that the document was discussed on January 18 at an expanded meeting of the coordinating council to combat the spread of COVID-19 .

The heads of the regions, on behalf of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, must ensure the implementation of the plan and take this work under personal control, the government noted.
