How much will the third wave of COVID-19 cost RUSSIA
Restrictions on business operations and the ongoing third wave of the pandemic will cost the Russian economy 0.1–0.2% of GDP projected for 2021, excluding the third wave, economists surveyed by RBC estimated. On an economy-wide scale, this is a negligible effect, and Russia's GDP growth this year is still projected in the 3.7-4% range.
The Ministry of Economic Development told RBC that the official forecast, on the basis of which the budget is formed, will be ready in August-September.
