The Chinese Embassy in London protested the G7 participants "for defamation"

The Chinese authorities express a strong protest to the countries participating in the G7 summit (Great Britain, Germany, Italy, CANADA, usa , France and Japan) for "slander and attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the PRC." This was reported by the Chinese Embassy in the UK, reports REUTERS.

“We call on the United States and other members of the G7 <...> to stop slandering the PRC and interfering in the internal political affairs of our country <...>. We express our strong dissatisfaction and strong protest about this,” the statement reads.

The document clarifies that work on the origins of the covid-19 pandemic should not be politicized, and the necessary research is already being carried out by independent WHO researchers. According to the Chinese side, the G7 countries should make efforts that will positively affect international cooperation, and not contribute to the emergence of conflicts and contradictions.

The G7 members' attempts to put pressure on CHINA "seriously violate the fundamental principles of international law," the statement said.
