The ambassador urged Canada to influence the United States because of the information about the provocation in Ukraine

Oleg Stepanov, the Russian ambassador to Ottawa, asked CANADA to influence the United States after information emerged about an impending provocation using weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine. He told RIA Novosti about this.

“I sent personal messages to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Foreign Minister Melanie Joly to influence the US administration and prevent this tragedy,” Stepanov said.

He also said that he passed on information about the impending provocation to representatives of the diplomatic corps in Ottawa, the Canadian government and the media.

According to Stepanov, the responsibility for the provocation will lie entirely with Washington.

The fact that the United States is preparing a provocation with the use of weapons of mass destruction on the territory of Ukraine was previously said by the HEAD of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov. According to him, the United States thus intends to accuse RUSSIA of using prohibited weapons, followed by the implementation of the so-called Syrian scenario, in which the state will be subjected to economic and political isolation, and will also be excluded from international organizations, including from the UN Security Council.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, confirmed his words. She believes that “Washington decided to interrupt the agenda and began preparing for a terrible action,” after “shocking details of the illegal cooperation between the United States and the current Ukrainian administration in the field of creating bacteriological weapons were revealed to the world.” She later added that the preparation of the provocation was already at the final stage.
