In Russia, the first case of mycoplasma infection, the outbreak of which occurred in China, was detected at the end of September, and by mid-November it “came to naught,” Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor, told reporters.

“We saw the first case at the end of September... by mid-November, the situation with mycoplasma infection and group cases had practically disappeared. We do not allow the infection to spread,” she said ( quoted by RIA Novosti).

Mycoplasma pneumonia is an atypical pulmonary infection caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The peak of seasonal fluctuations in the incidence of such pneumonia is typical for the autumn-winter period; children and adolescents are mainly susceptible to it .
