Those who have recovered from covid-19 are a new risk group for influenza, so they need to be vaccinated against this infection. This was stated by the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on HEALTH Protection, TASS reports.
“We need to vaccinate everyone who has been ill with covid. This is a new risk group. <...>. Our risk groups for influenza are [these are] weakened, with endocrine pathology, with chronic diseases of the lungs, heart, the elderly, pregnant women, and small children. And we have another group [at risk] — those who have recovered from covid,” she said.

Popova added that COVID-19 “depresses” the immunity of the sick person, so after the infection, he lives with “immune depression” for some time. Therefore, the head of Rospotrebnadzor believes, it is very dangerous for this category of the population to get the flu after the CORONAVIRUS.
