The city authorities are discussing the creation of vaccine tours with large federal tour operators, RBC Petersburg was told at the St. Petersburg Agency for Medical Tourism JSC.
St. Petersburg is ready to act as a pilot region for the launch of vaccination of foreigners on a commercial basis, while JSC "St. Petersburg Medical Tourism Agency" is preparing to act as a coordinator of vaccine tourism. According to the agency, the main requests for vaccination in St. Petersburg of foreign citizens come from Sweden, Finland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Iran, Vietnam, CANADA and others. to RUSSIA in the summer-autumn period of 2021 can be from 10,000 to 30,000 people, the St. Petersburg Medical Tourism Agency reported. The city is attractive for foreigners due to its combination of tourism and medical potential, the company notes.
As Natalya Yudina, General DIRECTOR of the St. Petersburg Agency for Medical Tourism, explained, vaccination tours can be of two types - a single visit lasting from 23 days (since after the second vaccine, HEALTH monitoring is recommended for 48 hours), or a double visit lasting on the first visit 4 days/3 nights and on the second visit 5 days/4 nights. The timing is based on recommendations for monitoring vaccinated patients.
Now there are 134 vaccination points based on medical organizations in the city. Of these, 107 are urban, 6 federal and private - 21. In addition, 23 mobile vaccination teams are working, some of them vaccinate at 15 mobile vaccination points deployed in addition to the 134 main ones.
Earlier, RBC Petersburg reported that leading private clinics, including the Euromed Group, the network of medical centers Lakhta Clinic and SM-Clinic, are interested in vaccinating foreigners.
