Peskov revealed details about Putin's self-isolation

Russian President Vladimir Putin passed a PCR test for coronavirus infection, he is absolutely healthy. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

“The president is absolutely healthy,” Peskov said. Answering the question whether Putin passed the PCR test and whether the result was negative, he replied: “Absolutely.”

Earlier, Putin said that he was forced to go into self-isolation "in connection with the identified cases of coronavirus in his environment." The Kremlin posted information about this in a report on a telephone conversation between the Russian leader and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

Peskov clarified that several people around the president fell ill, Putin had previously contacted them. The spokesman added that the quarantine will not affect the intensity of the work of the head of state. “It’s just that there will be no face-to-face events for some time. But, again, this does not affect the intensity: the president continues his activities via videoconference,” Peskov said.
