Peskov called the vaccination of all Russians elusive

Vaccination of all Russians is an elusive goal, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, RBC correspondent reports.

“Ideally, given that vaccination is the only way to fight, effectively fight a pandemic, I would like everyone to be vaccinated in one way or another. <...> But, of course, in reality, this is a very, very difficult result,” he said.

Manufacturers are constantly ramping up vaccine production, he said, but they have yet to complete trials in children and adolescents.

He also called the position of those people who refuse vaccination against COVID-19 a manifestation of irresponsibility. “To our regret, there will always be vaccine dissidents, this is such a kind of manifestation of unconsciousness,” he said.
