The operational headquarters reported new cases of COVID-19 in the region

By the morning of June 6, 66 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were detected in the Kaliningrad region. Among those infected, 57 people with signs of SARS, three with pneumonia, six have no symptoms. 63 patients recovered, one died. This is reported by the regional operational headquarters.

Among affected children:

- two children who arrived at the sanatorium from Chukotka, two pupils of Kaliningrad kindergartens No. 1 and 43, three students (gymnasium No. 22 and 1, school No. 4), a student of the Baltic Shipbuilding College.

Among affected adults:

- 13 pensioners and the same number of unemployed, nine individual entrepreneurs, four people each in educational and medical institutions, as well as in the catering sector, three employees of industrial enterprises, two employees of transport enterprises, two hotel workers, one person each in a bank and a housing and communal services enterprise.

During the entire period of the pandemic, 33,883 cases of covid-19 were registered in the region . 32,757 have recovered, 530 have died, and 2,035 patients remain under medical supervision.

As RBC Kaliningrad reported, collective immunity from COVID-19 in the region reached 15% due to vaccination. These paces leave a lot to be desired. Every week, instead of today's 800-1500 people, it is necessary to vaccinate 5-7 thousand inhabitants of the region. This was announced on May 26 by the HEAD of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, Elena Babur.
