The press service of the RBC headquarters for combating the spread of CORONAVIRUS infection denied the information that RUSSIA decided to extend until June 30 restrictions on flights to Turkey, which expire on June 1.
Earlier, the operational headquarters decided to extend the restrictions on flights to this country until the end of June, a RIA Novosti source and a RBC source in the tourism market said.
The sources referred to the TELEGRAM received by the agents of the Aeroflot airline. “In connection with the decision of the headquarters under the government of the Russian Federation to suspend regular air traffic with Turkey from June 2 to June 30: standard rules for forced exchange / return apply for tickets for canceled flights,” it said. “[This letter] meant that we are not selling tickets to Turkey until June 30,” a source at Aeroflot explained to RBC. According to him, this idea was incorrectly formulated.
“Travel planning is always planning weeks, sometimes months ahead. We have stopped sales and canceled all flights to Turkey for June, with the exception of the two flights per week allowed by the headquarters, so as not to inconvenience passengers due to possible cancellations. In the case and as soon as other solutions appear, we are ready to revise the schedule, increase the number of flights if necessary and open sales. We, like other carriers, are waiting for the decision of the government headquarters, ”Aeroflot representative Mikhail Demin told RBC.
The Russian delegation will travel to Turkey to assess the situation and prospects for the resumption of air traffic, RIA Novosti was told in the secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
