The HEAD of the regional operational headquarters for the prevention of the spread of CORONAVIRUS infection, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva today in the program “Interview without a tie” by Andrey Kuzmin said that a number of measures were taken in the republic in case of penetration of the omicron strain. To date, no infected people have been identified in Tatarstan.
“The measures envisaged by federal regulations imply that all citizens arriving from 10 countries designated as difficult in terms of omicron undergo mandatory testing and are under observation. Observators are provided for them - this work is carried out without fail.
Do you remember the first year of the spread of the coronavirus infection, when we deployed observatories for all those arriving from countries where the situation was difficult. Now the new strain is definitely spreading, we will have to meet with it. To date, omicron has not been found in the Republic of Tatarstan,” Fazleeva said in an interview with the project, which airs on the Tatarstan 24 TV channel.
On December 11, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree banning entry into the country for citizens of 10 countries where there was an unfavorable situation with the omicron strain. These are Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Eswatini, South Africa, and Hong Kong.
In RUSSIA, the first citizens infected with "omicron" were identified on December 6: two citizens returned from South Africa. According to RBC, on December 21, 41 cases of this strain of covid-19 were registered in the Russian Federation . In general, cases of infection with it on that date were recorded in 106 countries.
