The first Russian region thought about mandatory vaccination

The authorities of Yakutia announced that they intend to make vaccination against covid-19 mandatory for the population. Later, however, in the message about this, the word “mandatory” was changed to “mass”, but the authorities of the region still warn that the unvaccinated may be removed from work.

The HEAD of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, announced plans for vaccination at a meeting of the regional operational headquarters. First of all, all educational workers involved in organizing children's summer holidays, as well as employees involved in holding mass events of a republican scale, should be vaccinated against the CORONAVIRUS in Yakutia. They may not be allowed to work "in case of an unreasonable refusal to vaccinate." Employers who do not provide mandatory vaccination of employees face a fine of 200 thousand rubles. A few hours later, the word “mandatory” disappeared from the release, and the vaccination became known as “mass”, but the warning about the fine for the unvaccinated did not disappear.
