“O'Key”, “Auchan” and “Atak” retail chains have notified the FAS of RUSSIA of their waiver of obligations to voluntarily limit sugar markups. Retailers have made this decision to expand supply and eliminate local shortages,” said a spokesman for the service.
On March 1, the antimonopoly authorities announced the decision of the Auchan, Magnit and O'Key retail chains to limit the margin on some socially significant products by 5%. it was about four categories of goods - dairy products, bakery products, sugar and vegetables from the "borscht set". The decision concerned products of Russian production, the most popular in terms of sales and presented in stores in sufficient quantities, the FAS specified. Products with a limited markup had to carry a certain label, such as "social goods."
