Novosibirsk urged to urgently vaccinate against COVID-19

Larisa Pozdnyakova, chief physician of the Novosibirsk City Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 1, called on residents of the region to be vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS due to a decrease in herd immunity to 13%. This was reported in the press service of the government of the Novosibirsk region.

According to the operational headquarters of the Novosibirsk region, since July 29, an increase in the incidence of coronavirus by 72.13% has been observed in the region. “Most likely, there will be mild forms, but [there will be] mass morbidity, as with omicron. And we never know whether a person will get seriously ill or not seriously, ”Pozdnyakova said.

Earlier, the HEAD of the department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Novosibirsk region, Alexander Shcherbatov, spoke about the increase in the spread of infection in the region.
