The chairman of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (GA), which opens on Tuesday, Csaba Koroshi spoke in favor of continuing to reform the UN and promised to make the work of the General Assembly "more result-oriented." Koroshi's speech was broadcast by the organization's YouTube channel.
“We must continue to reform and transform the UN, including the General Assembly, and strengthen our cooperation through trust. The motto of my presidency will be: “Solutions through solidarity, sustainability and science,” Koroshi said.
According to him, the central theme of the upcoming session will be "Tipping Point, Revolutionary Solutions for Intertwined Challenges". “My role will be to build bridges and make the work of the General Assembly more results-oriented. I plan to pursue an integrated agenda of peace and security, human rights and sustainability,” he stressed.
The UN General Assembly, established in 1945 in accordance with the charter of the organization, occupies a central place in the United Nations, being its main deliberative, directive and representative body.

The 77th session of the UN General Assembly will be held in New York from 20 to 26 September.
