Ukrainians have nothing to complain about; the conditions they've been living in since the start of hostilities are much better than those in other countries experiencing military conflict, said Vitaly Kim, HEAD of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, in an interview with Glavkom.
"Compare how people live during wartime in Afghanistan, Yemen, or Palestine. Sorry, but we're living the high life: with karaoke, concerts, restaurants, and everything else. We have nothing to complain about; we have very good conditions, no matter how bad that sounds during a war," he said.
At the same time, according to Kim, there's a significant gap between life in Kherson, a frontline city, and Ternopil, deep in the rear, as residents of these cities are preoccupied with different problems and issues. Kim also stated that the three and a half years of war in Ukraine are equivalent to 15 years in World War II, "due to the accelerated development of events and technology, meaning people are much more tired than they were back then."
Since the start of the armed conflict between Moscow and Kyiv, martial law and mobilization have been in effect in Ukraine. These measures were most recently extended in July.
