Nemeryuk announced the offer of restaurateurs to compensate for PCR tests

Some Moscow restaurateurs are ready to compensate the costs of PCR tests for their visitors. This was announced by the HEAD of the capital's department of trade and services, Alexei Nemeryuk, at a press conference, RIA Novosti reports.

“Today I talked with a number of restaurateurs <...>. Colleagues even suggested that they would compensate their visitors, who do not have the opportunity to be vaccinated or who were asymptomatic, to compensate for the services and the cost of the PCR test,” he said.

Restaurateur Alexander Rappoport told RBC that his network had decided to compensate visitors for PCR tests. “We made such a decision for ourselves – from tomorrow to compensate. This is temporary, we will look within two weeks, see how it works,” he said.

According to him, everyone who has done a PCR test will be able to present it in a restaurant, then 1 thousand rubles will be deducted from his account.

The founder of the White Rabbit Family restaurant group, Boris Zarkov, in turn, told RBC that it is unprofitable to compensate for PCR tests at the expense of the institution. “We do not compensate for the costs of PCR tests. I cannot offer to do PCR tests at the expense of the restaurant, because it is financially unfeasible: the cost of the test is 2.5 thousand rubles, which is higher than the average check in most of our projects, ”he explained. Zarkov noted that such an experiment is being carried out at the Krasota restaurant, since the average bill is high there.

“We offer those who bought a ticket for July to pre-pass the test at home at our expense, since this project has a very high average bill,” he explained.

In Moscow, called the number of people who received QR codes for cafes and restaurants Society

From June 28, to visit all cafes and restaurants in Moscow, a special QR code is required, which confirms the presence of immunity from covid-19 . It is issued to those who have a three-day PCR test with a negative result, who have been vaccinated or have been ill with CORONAVIRUS within the last six months. The exception is the verandas - until July 12, Muscovites will be able to visit them without restrictions.

Sobyanin explained the need for strict restrictions by saying that the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 in the capital remains very difficult, and for mass vaccination to begin to give results, “it will take another two to three months.”
