In the Vologda region, the incidence of COVID-19 is growing, the youngest patient is 24 days old

During the week, 753 cases of covid-19 were registered in the region , including 100 cases among children, which is higher than the previous week, when 528 cases were recorded, including 46 among children. More than 150 people are hospitalized, the press service of the government of the Vologda region reports.

The chief physician visited the "red zone", where there are patients with CORONAVIRUS and other infections: both adults and children. The last ones in the department are the majority. 14 patients are being treated on 20 beds. The youngest is 24 days old.

The course of coronavirus infection this season is the same as it was in spring: high fever, headache, vomiting is possible and minimal catarrhal symptoms - runny nose, cough. The disease is quite well treatable. Cases of pneumonia are rare.

Quite often, children who came with their parents from vacation are hospitalized in the "red zone" of the infectious diseases hospital. Doctors diagnose them not only with covid, but also with other diseases.
