In Kamchatka, they announced plans to cancel QR codes on transport

In the Kamchatka Territory, the system of QR codes on transport may be canceled, according to the website of the regional government.

“The measure taken to prevent citizens from being transported without presenting certificates and QR codes had its effect. Many citizens, especially from remote settlements, have made the decision to get vaccinated against the virus,” said Victoria Sivak, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government.

However, during a meeting of the regional operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, the heads of some municipalities, including remote ones, turned to Governor Vladimir Solodov, she said.

“They drew attention to the fact that today the effectiveness of this measure has exhausted itself. Therefore, a decision was made to amend the regulatory legal acts,” Sivak said. According to her, it is expected that QR codes on transport will be canceled next week.
