On the Don, they want to increase the rate of vaccination against covid by three times

In the Rostov region, the vaccination rate should be tripled. This was told by the Minister of HEALTH of the region Yuri Kobzev.

“On average, we carry out 3.6 thousand vaccinations per day. At this rate, we will not be able to vaccinate 60% of the population by September. We need to increase the pace at least three times,” he said.

According to Kobzev, it is necessary to strengthen contact with patients from the 60+ age group who are still not vaccinated. He is sure that doctors should come home to such citizens and talk about the benefits of vaccination.
Kobzev said that more than 30,000 doses of the vaccine have now been received in the region, and more than 90,000 more doses are expected. The remainder of the vaccine in the region is more than 88 thousand doses.

The Minister of Health of the region again raised the issue of introducing compulsory vaccination for certain categories of citizens. In particular, we are talking about public transport drivers and catering workers.

As the governor of the region, Vasily Golubev, explained during a meeting of the operational headquarters for countering the CORONAVIRUS, the situation in the region remains tense, although the government still assesses it as stable. “Over the past few weeks, there has been a decrease in newly infected, the number of recovered was higher than the number of infected. But over the past few days, we have again recorded an increase in the number of cases, ”he said.
