On the Don, the number of covid beds was reduced by one and a half times

Over the past three weeks, more than 1.5 thousand covid beds have been returned in the Rostov region for the provision of planned medical care. This was reported by the press service of the Don Governor.

As of the end of November, 5,823 beds were deployed in covid hospitals in the region. Now, according to the Ministry of Health of the Rostov Region, 4,186 beds have been deployed in the region to treat patients with COVID-19 . The reduction in capacity is associated with a decrease in the number of seriously ill patients. The Minister of Health of the Don announced the stabilization of the situation.

According to the Don Rospotrebnadzor, as of the morning of December 14, the total number of cases increased by 641 and reached a cumulative total of 184,660. Over the entire period of the pandemic, 9,184 residents of the Rostov region became victims of covid. 3,293 people are being treated for coronavirus in hospitals. The workload of hospitals is estimated at almost 79%.

As RBC Rostov previously wrote, over the weekend on December 12 and 13, 1,479 people recovered on the Don - this is the maximum figure since the beginning of the pandemic.
