The head of the information center for monitoring the situation with coronavirus, doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov believes that the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 indicates the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic in Russia. He announced this in a video posted on Telegram.
“The incidence figures are growing, and this is probably the beginning of the third wave predicted not so long ago,” Myasnikov said.
The doctor believes that the pandemic develops in waves: for three months, the incidence goes up, then reaches a plateau, then three calm months follow, and then everything repeats again. According to him, by May the time has come for a new increase in the number of cases.

Myasnikov stressed that in addition to observing individual prevention measures, the population needs to be vaccinated. He said that, although other countries, unlike Russia, are very strict in observing precautionary measures - they wear masks, respirators, introduce lockdowns - "it did not save them."
