Over the past week and a half, the number of citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 has almost quadrupled compared to the same period earlier, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said, Interfax reports.

He emphasized that the non-working days in force at the federal level from October 30 to November 7 are a good time to get vaccinated. “Now it [non-working week] is definitely needed to slow down the pace of distribution. Further we will evaluate on a daily basis what will be required in the future. Today, this is an opportunity for everyone [to get vaccinated]: medical institutions for vaccination are working, everyone has enough time, ”Murashko explained (quoted by TASS).

He also noted that in regions where anti-coronavirus measures are in place, including QR codes, a decrease in the incidence rate is observed. The head of the Ministry of Health called it a "good result."

According to the headquarters, as of October 29, in Russia, 56.7 million people were injected with the first component (including those who were vaccinated with the one-component Sputnik Light), 50.9 million received two vaccinations. Herd immunity was 46.8%.
