The Ministry of Health has received data on the safety of the Sputnik V CORONAVIRUS vaccine for pregnant women. This was announced by the HEAD of the department Mikhail Murashko, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the minister, changes in the use of the drug for this category of patients are being made in his instructions.

In children, clinical trials of the use of Sputnik V will take several months, Murashko said. “Now the protocols have already been developed by specialists. Clinical trials of the vaccine in children - it will probably take up to four months, for pregnant women, I think, earlier, ”he said.

Last week at the Center Gamaleya, who developed Sputnik V, said that they were studying the possibility of vaccinating pregnant women against coronavirus. According to researchers, as part of clinical trials of the vaccine, 21 cases of pregnancy of participants with a period of three to eight months were registered.
