Murashko estimated the proportion of adults vaccinated against COVID at 70%

In RUSSIA, 70% of the adult population has already been vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS, HEALTH Minister Mikhail Murashko said at a session of the executive committee of the World Health Organization.

“Russia supports the objectives outlined in the strategy for providing global vaccination against covid-19 by mid-2022, namely, reaching 70% of the world’s population with vaccination against a new coronavirus infection. In Russia, coverage of the [adult] population has already reached the indicated figures,” he said.

As of January 21, according to the operational headquarters, 81.9 million times were vaccinated with the first component in Russia, and 78 million times were fully vaccinated. These data include both primary and secondary vaccinations, as well as vaccination with the one-component preparation Sputnik Light.

Collective immunity, taking into account those vaccinated and recovered in Russia, is 64.4%.
