Partial easing of restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic can be made after 60% of the Russian population is vaccinated, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), TASS reports.
“If 60% of the population is vaccinated, plus the number of those who have recovered, we will actually create good immunity, so we will monitor the epidemiological situation, but, of course, there will be relief in different directions,” he explained.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health said that 60% of the country's adult population should be vaccinated by autumn. To do this, according to him, it is necessary to ensure the availability of vaccines, create a convenient schedule for the population of vaccination points, motivate and inform citizens in a timely manner, and also stop any misinformation.
Putin said that it is impossible to make vaccination against COVID mandatory Politics
In addition, when asked whether collective immunity to the coronavirus would be formed in Russia in September, Murashko assured that it “would be provided.”
