Contraindications to vaccination against CORONAVIRUS are hypersensitivity to the components of the vaccine, the presence of severe allergic reactions in a person and exacerbation of chronic diseases, HEALTH Minister Mikhail Murashko said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“If a person has hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine or to a vaccine containing similar components, if there is a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, Quincke's edema). If there are acute infectious and non-infectious diseases, exacerbation of chronic diseases, vaccination is carried out two to four weeks after recovery or remission,” Murashko said.

He called such contraindications exceptional cases. They are determined by the attending physician or a specialist in the field in which contraindications have been identified.

They can be both permanent and temporary, the minister notes. In case of temporary contraindications, a certificate is issued for up to 30 days, followed by a consultation with the specialist who issued the document.
