Less than 1% of people get a new coronavirus infection after being vaccinated. This was announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021) by Russian Minister of HEALTH Mikhail Murashko, TASS reports.
“Today we see everyone who has been vaccinated and at one stage or another has encountered a coronavirus infection – this is less than 0.8%,” he said.
According to him, no vaccine in the world has 100% protection against covid-19 , so there is still a small risk of the disease.
At the same time, a person who has been vaccinated in the event of a disease most often does not require hospitalization, since the infection is carried in a mild form. “We always evaluate risks. In vaccinated patients, they are minimal. Therefore, we are talking about collective responsibility - the more we are united and vaccinated, the risks [to get sick] become minimal for all people, ”he concluded.
