Specialists from federal medical institutions have been sent to Karelia and Buryatia due to the fact that in these regions the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 requires increased attention. This was stated by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council for the fight against coronavirus.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health, the epidemiological situation is tense, especially in large cities - Moscow, the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

“In the Republic of Buryatia and Karelia (the situation) also requires increased attention, and additional specialists from federal institutions have been sent to these regions,” said Murashko (quoted by RIA Novosti).
According to the minister, more than 182,000 hospital beds for patients with coronavirus have been deployed in Russia, while 151,000 people have been hospitalized at the moment. In general, 626,000 COVID patients are under medical supervision.
