The Ministry of Health is preparing recommendations for revaccination against CORONAVIRUS, said its HEAD Mikhail Murashko, RIA Novosti reports.
The minister also said that a decision on the use of Sputnik V for vaccination of pregnant women would be made in the coming weeks. Murashko said that there are cases when pregnant women have a severe illness caused by coronavirus.
“Our specialists are now considering a package of documents to obtain new scientific data on the use of the Sputnik V vaccine in pregnant women. I think that in the next week - a week and a half, they will make this decision - on the use for the prevention of the disease, ”the minister said (quoted by Interfax).
At the end of May, Murashko said that the Ministry of Health had received data on the safety of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine for pregnant women. He estimates that clinical trials of the vaccine in pregnant women will take less than four months.
