Muscovites urged to postpone a planned visit to the clinic due to "omicron"

Residents of Moscow were asked to postpone a scheduled visit to the clinic for two to three weeks due to the increased workload on medical facilities due to the spread of the omicron strain. The message of the Moscow Department of HEALTH is published on the website of the Mayor of Moscow.

The department noted that more and more new cases of infection with CORONAVIRUS and SARS are being detected in the capital - over the past two weeks, the number of cases has increased five times. Since it is polyclinics that treat more than 90% of patients with covid-19 and SARS, the main burden fell on them, it added.

“Due to the increased workload on the outpatient department, Muscovites are asked to postpone scheduled visits to the clinic for two to three weeks. At the same time, the admission of patients with other diseases will be temporarily limited, ”the Moscow Health Department said.

In Moscow, planned hospitalization in children's hospitals was suspended for three weeks.
