Moskalkova called coercion of employees to be vaccinated

a dishonest game Here it is necessary to work out the issue and provide for some concessions for such people.

The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights receives many reports that the management is forcing employees of organizations to be vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS, while threatening them with punishment, Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said on the air of Vesti FM radio station. Although the idea of vaccination is correct, such incentives are not fair, she said.

“I believe that such promotion of vaccination is a dishonest game, a dishonest action. Of course, the idea itself is correct - to protect society. And the mechanisms by which it is being implemented today give rise to mass psychosis, fear of coercion, but most importantly, it is not clear why those who will not be vaccinated because they have antibodies should be discriminated against - they have been ill, or they cannot for medical reasons ? Moskalkova said.

She stressed that the idea of mass vaccination of the population in this part has not been completed. “Yes, indeed, there are categories of people who cannot be vaccinated, but give them guarantees, some preferences,” said the Commissioner for Human Rights. “Then let these people go on sick leave with pay, on long-term leave at the expense of the employer, or some other preferences that would not make a person feel disadvantaged for reasons beyond his control.”

According to Moskalkova, threats against those who cannot be vaccinated can be seen as a violation of human rights.

She clarified that, for example, she received reports that vaccination was being forced at the Norilsk Nickel company. “Here, for example, they write, the Norilsk Nickel company: all employees were told that if they do not get vaccinated, they will never go on summer vacation and let them forget about bonuses. And these are a huge number of messages: they will be fired, they will not give a bonus, ”she said.

In Norilsk Nickel, RBC was told that they are actively campaigning for employees to get vaccinated, but they are not forcing anyone. “The company is actively campaigning among employees for vaccination, as well as everywhere else in the country. Including leaders agitate by personal example. We are not aware of cases of coercion of employees. The official position of the company: a person must make a decision on his own, ”the company’s press service said in a statement.

Moskalkova also commented on the question of what to do with people who do not have contraindications for vaccination, but do not want to be vaccinated for personal reasons. “This is an extreme situation. There are international pacts on this score, norms that say that the public interest should be higher than the personal interest in these extreme conditions of the survival of the whole society, - Moskalkova explained. “Therefore, if the state has taken care to protect other people who communicate with an individual who should be vaccinated, <...> this person probably needs to decide and make a choice in his life: either you accept these conditions, or you switch to another job ".

At the same time, she stressed, the state must help find another job, it cannot fire a person because he did not agree with the rules of vaccination.

Since last week, Russian regions have begun introducing mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for certain groups of workers. Under the orders of the heads of the regions, workers in the areas of public catering, trade, education, housing and communal services, culture, healthcare and others fell.

At the same time, doctors believe that forced vaccination can change the attitude of citizens towards vaccinations against covid-19 in a negative direction. This was the answer of 45.4% of doctors surveyed in the course of the study in the Doctor's Directory application (a service for doctors, more than 450 thousand users). Only 17.6% of respondents believe that the campaign will change their attitude towards vaccination for the better and will have a positive impact on vaccination.
