The Moscow City COURT upheld the decision to recover from the former Minister for Coordinating the Activities of the "Open Government" Mikhail Abyzov, accused of creating a criminal community and fraud on an especially large scale, five foreign companies, 32.5 billion rubles, RBC was confirmed in the press service court.

"The court dismissed the appeals," the press service said.

In October 2020, the Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow satisfied the request of the Prosecutor General's Office and turned more than 32 billion rubles seized from Abyzov into state revenue. The Prosecutor General's Office stated that upon entering the civil service, Abyzov concealed his property status, in particular, concealed the ownership of five offshore companies registered in the Republic of Cyprus. He also owned securities in at least ten Russian companies worth more than 9 billion rubles.

“Moreover, during the period of service, he continued to engage in entrepreneurial activities, to derive income from legal entities controlled by him. At the same time, Abyzov hid his participation in commercial organizations and the funds received from the employer and society, ”the department reported.
