Moldova was left with gas, "anti-vaxers" answered the doctors. The main thing for the day

How Gazprom agreed with Moldova that the addressees of the “letter to anti-vaxxers” answered the doctors, the COVID-19 vaccine for teenagers is the main news in the RBC review

Moldova will not turn off the gas

"Gazprom" agreed not to stop gas supplies to Moldova and gave Chisinau a delay to pay the debt. The company said that they went for it, "showing goodwill and understanding in what difficult situation the citizens of the Republic of Moldova may find themselves." But they reminded the authorities of Moldova: if the contract is concluded, you still need to pay the bills.

In accordance with the ultimatum that Gazprom put forward to Moldova on November 22, the payment of the debt was to be completed within 48 hours - that is, today the gas should have already been turned off. However, Moldovagaz did not find any money, and the company turned to the authorities of the country with a request for a loan. This also did not solve the problem: although the authorities agreed to allocate money, it is necessary to agree on the allocation of funds through parliament, which will be able to consider it only tomorrow, November 25. Moldova and Gazprom signed a new gas supply agreement at the end of October. Before that, they argued for a long time because of the terms of the contract and the multimillion-dollar debt that Chisinau had accumulated in recent years. One of the terms of the new agreement was that Moldova should now not miss the deadlines for payments. Despite this, deliveries in recent months have not been paid.

Gazprom, as an exception, decided not to stop gas supplies to Moldova Economics
