The Ministry of Health predicted the timing of herd immunity to COVID in Russia

Achieving herd immunity to coronavirus infection in 80-90% is a matter of several months. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Health of Russia Viktor Fisenko, RIA Novosti reports.

“I think this is a matter of literally a few months, but it also depends on you and me,” Fisenko said, answering a question about achieving herd immunity.

Head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko said that herd immunity in 60% of the population would be enough to stop the spread of the disease.

On the eve of the head physician of the city clinical hospital No. 52, Maryana Lysenko, said that at the current rate of vaccination, herd immunity in Moscow would be formed in March 2022.
