The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan is concerned about the decline in the rate of COVID-vaccination

The Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic of Tatarstan believes that the surge in the rate of vaccination against CORONAVIRUS infection was associated with the holiday season. According to doctors, the beginning of a new academic year bears additional risks of an increase in the incidence

“We are very concerned about this situation with a decrease in the rate of vaccination in the republic. In our opinion, there was a certain complacency of the population. Let me remind you that we had a certain surge in vaccination. We reported that 15,000 people a day are being vaccinated in the republic. This was due, among other things, to the desire to go on vacation abroad,” Vladimir Zhavoronkov, the replacement for the Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, said at a press conference at the Tatar-Inform news agency.

According to him, the new academic year brings with it additional risks of an increase in the incidence of covid-19 , so it is necessary to make active efforts to increase the number of vaccinated people.

Zhavoronkov said that a list of clinics has been formed in the republic that will begin to vaccinate foreigners. “We do not make centralized outlets. Medical centers submit certain applications to us for this kind of work, and we implement them. This is work that is now being carried out throughout the country,” he said.

On August 13, Dmitry Lopushov, chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan for immunoprophylaxis, said that a paid vaccination campaign will start in the region for foreigners and stateless persons. “The vaccination will cost 1200 rubles, it will include the cost of the vaccine and medical examination,” he said.

On August 17, Foreign Minister Lavrov promised to solve the problem with foreign students who cannot get vaccinated. “I think this is some kind of oversight on our part. I’ll see what the problem is there,” Lavrov said during a speech at the Baltic Federal University. Immanuel Kant, answering the question of a foreign student, is it planned to make Russian vaccines for foreign students. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
