The Russian Armed Forces have created a reserve of forces and means of the military medical service to provide assistance to patients with CORONAVIRUS infection in the regions, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.

“As part of the reserve, nine special-purpose medical detachments, nine mobile hospitals and 100 medical and nursing teams have been formed,” the department said (quoted by TASS).

As part of the medical and nursing teams, military personnel who have experience in diagnosing and treating patients with coronavirus. Including resuscitators, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialized specialists, the Ministry of Defense specified.

In addition, more than 2.8 thousand beds have been deployed in medical institutions of the defense department, of which 50% of the beds have been allocated for the treatment of civilian patients. “Today, about 1,000 civilians are being treated in these medical centers,” the Defense Ministry added.
