The Ministry of Defense accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of placing weapons in civilian facilities

Ukrainian servicemen continue to use civilian facilities to deploy heavy weapons. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of RUSSIA.

“The militants of the nationalist battalions and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hiding behind civilians as a “human shield”, continue to use civilian infrastructure to equip strongholds and deploy heavy weapons,” the report says.

According to the Russian military, Ukrainian soldiers also launched a strike from multiple launch rocket systems "Smerch" on the residential areas of Kherson. Russian air defense systems intercepted all 10 Ukrainian rockets, the Defense Ministry noted. “The blow was deliberately inflicted on the civilian population of Kherson in retaliation for supporting the Russian Federation,” the department believes.

On May 10, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian military had equipped a stronghold in the building of a lyceum in the village of Slobozhanske, Kharkiv region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, another point was set up in a school building in Mogilev-Podolsky, Vinnitsa region. A warehouse with weapons was also located there, and “civilians from nearby houses are forcibly kept in the basement,” the Russian military says.

Russia began hostilities in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin has stated that the purpose of the operation is the "denazification" and "demilitarization" of Ukraine. Ukraine introduced martial law, declared mobilization and severed diplomatic relations with Russia.
