Minnikhanov spoke about the prospect of returning to the mask regime

“Medical institutions have already returned the mask regime. We also need to consult. Of course, in the summer it is even more inconvenient. But if the situation continues to develop in this vein, such measures will be necessary,” Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said today at a government meeting. 

According to him, the incidence of coronavirus in the republic increased by 8% over the week. Herd immunity is decreasing. The first component of the vaccine vaccinated 2.6 million people, the second - 2.5 million.

The day before, in the group of PJSC "Kamaz" in the social network "VKontakte" it was reported that from August 1, in the offices of the company and at the places of mass congestion of people in production (at checkpoints, in canteens, and so on), a mask regime is being introduced. 

At the same time, Lyubov Avdonina, deputy head of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan, said the day before that there was no need to introduce new COVID restrictions in the republic. But in the fall, a seasonal rise in the incidence is expected. “Over the past week, there has been a slight increase in the incidence. Every day there is an increase of one, two, three cases, but this is not critical data yet, today the situation is assessed as stable. There are no grounds for introducing any additional restrictive measures,” Avdonina said.

Chief epidemiologist, specialist in immunoprophylaxis of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Lopushov noted that collective immunity to COVID-19 in the republic is 6.9%. This is lower than in the country. “For 3 months, collective immunity has been steadily falling,” Lopushov said.

The mandatory wearing of masks in public places in Tajikistan was canceled on June 6. It was noted that the operation of the regime was suspended.
