The authorities of the Sverdlovsk region will soon decide on the introduction of mandatory vaccination of education and HEALTH workers in Yekaterinburg, Yekaterinburg Mayor Alexei Orlov said at a meeting of the City Duma, TASS reports.
“It is possible that a decision on mandatory vaccination will be made today. These decisions are made by Rospotrebnadzor. We discussed these issues at our city headquarters yesterday. For certain categories of the population - doctors, teachers on the eve of the new academic year - vaccination will be considered mandatory, ”said Orlov.
He also added that with a "high degree of probability" they will impose a restriction on attending mass events, allowing entry to them only for those who have been vaccinated against covid-19 , or those who have contraindications to the vaccine and a document confirming this. According to Orlov, the HEAD of the region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, together with the operational headquarters, can make the appropriate decision.
