
Microsoft will continue to work with customers in Russia that are not sanctioned. This was announced by the president of the corporation, Brad Smith, in a letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dated March 14, Reuters got acquainted with it.
“Depriving these institutions [schools and hospitals] of software updates and services could endanger the health and safety of innocent civilians, including children and the elderly,” Smith explained.
At the same time, the company is mindful of the moral responsibility to protect civilians and is discussing with the governments of the United States , Great Britain, and the EU the issue of ending support for some services in Russia, the president of Microsoft said.
