The ambitions of individuals and countries have become the reasons for the growth of global tension during the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, RIA Novosti reports.

“As for how we can live in these new conditions, we need to live in harmony, try to come to an agreement, to agree on a variety of issues,” he urged.

Medvedev expressed hope that a significant proportion of Russians are coming to understand the need for vaccination against covid-19 . According to him, during the pandemic, he became convinced of the need to help other people. “Probably, for me, these lessons are absolutely the same as for the vast majority of citizens in our country,” the deputy HEAD of the Security Council suggested.

Among other problems, he named the backlog in the technological sphere, corruption and the need to create a modern economy built on innovation.
