The Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic of Mauritius has registered the Russian vaccine against CORONAVIRUS infection Sputnik Light. This was announced by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

“The registration of the Sputnik Light drug will allow adding another safe and effective coronavirus vaccine to the national portfolio of Mauritius,” said Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the fund.

On March 22, Mauritius approved another Russian coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik V. Registration was carried out as part of an accelerated procedure.

The Sputnik Light vaccine was created on the basis of recombinant human adenovirus serotype 26. Its effectiveness was 79.4% based on the analysis of data from Russians vaccinated with the drug from the 28th day after immunization.

In RUSSIA, Sputnik Light was registered on May 6 this year. The Gamaleya Center assured that the new vaccine is effective against all strains of coronavirus, including new ones.
