
In some regions, it is possible to introduce more stringent restrictions for certain categories of citizens in connection with the pandemic, TASS reports a statement by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko. According to her, the adoption of additional decisions at the federal level is not excluded.
Matvienko said that the issue is under the control of the president, government and the Federal Assembly. However, she stressed, "very much depends on the consciousness and responsibility of citizens."
Earlier, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection said that in 12 regions of Russia there was a tense situation with the supply of medical oxygen: according to forecasts, oxygen was left there for no more than two days. Among these regions are the republics of Tyva and Komi, Sevastopol, Magadan and Astrakhan regions, Samara and the Krasnodar Territory.
Murashko assured that the situation is under control, as the ministry monitors oxygen supplies in the country on a daily basis.
