
The management of the American toy manufacturer Mattel has decided to increase production at its plant in Mexico in order to optimize the supply chain. It is reported by Reuters.
“Producing close to our main customer without the need to transport from Asia improves our competitiveness and is also more financially beneficial in terms of logistics costs,” said Gabriel Galvan, Managing Director of Mattel Latin America.
According to statements, Mattel plans to double its investment in the plant in Mexico over the next five years.
