Malta bans unvaccinated tourists from COVID-19

Tourists are no longer allowed into Malta without being vaccinated against covid-19 , made using drugs approved by local authorities. The corresponding decision was made by the Ministry of HEALTH of Malta on July 9, the order came into effect on July 14. Children over the age of five are now required to have a negative PCR test to enter Malta.

Vaccines approved in Malta are Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Oxford / ASTRAZENECA, Pfizer / BioNTech, according to a message on the website of the local Ministry of Health.

Sputnik V, as well as other Russian CORONAVIRUS vaccines, have not been officially approved by either the EU regulator (EMA) or separately by Malta. The Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Malta, Evariste Bartolo, on the eve of negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, did not rule out the registration of Sputnik V in the EU until the end of June.
