Deputy Minister of Health of the Kama region Evgeny Rozhnev said that the current vaccination rates are insufficient to achieve the goals. The statement was made at a meeting of the Governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin, on vaccination issues. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Perm Territory.
“The region received 676.8 thousand sets of vaccines, 576.3 thousand residents have been vaccinated to date. We immunize about 11,000 people a day. Initially, the federal Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health set the task of vaccinating about 1.2 million people by September. To fulfill it, it is necessary to immunize 31.2 thousand inhabitants per day. To do this, it is necessary to attract additional medical workers and receive 626 thousand doses of vaccines. Since the beginning of August, the region has received 83.1 thousand sets,” the deputy minister explained.
According to the regional Ministry of Health, in some municipalities the vaccination process is not well organized, as a result, low immunization rates.
According to Yevgeny Rozhnev, under the current conditions, it is realistic to increase the number of vaccinations to 16,000 per day. In this case, it will be possible to achieve the desired indicator by November.
During the discussion, a proposal was made to revise the vaccination system for employees of industrial enterprises, where the main population groups subject to vaccination are concentrated. Today, some companies are experiencing difficulties in organizing mass immunization. For example, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, employers report that they are forced to take their staff for vaccinations to mobile stations in neighboring municipalities. A little more than 20% of workers have been vaccinated at a number of industrial enterprises that are federally subordinated.
Earlier, RBC Perm reported that the chief state sanitary doctor for the Perm region, Vitaly Kostarev, signed a decree on mandatory vaccination for certain categories of people.
Employers need to organize preventive vaccinations covering at least 60% of the total number of employees with the first component of the vaccine before August 15, the second - before September 15.
As the head of Rospotrebnadzor Vitaly Kostarev told RBC Perm, they plan to monitor compliance with the decree as part of inspections. In addition, information on the number of vaccinated is provided by the Ministry of Health, as well as legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
The press service of the regional Ministry of Health of RBC Perm reported that the next deliveries of vaccine batches from the federation are currently expected.
