She issued a statement after the publication of exit polls following the results of the first round of voting. According to IPSOS data, incumbent President Emmanuel Macron scored 28.1%, Le Pen - 23.3%. Thus, they become participants in the second round.

Le Pen thanked the French who voted for her and announced the need for big changes in France. She also called on everyone who did not vote for Macron to come out in her support.

“All those who did not vote for Emmanuel Macron are of course destined to join our movement,” she said.

She declared her desire to become "president of all, without exception, the French people", restore French sovereignty in all areas and "guarantee respect" for ordinary citizens. As arguments to support her candidacy in the elections, Le Pen also called the struggle for "the predominance of French culture", "images and customs of the regions", "republican laws and values."

The second round is scheduled for April 24, two weeks after the first. In 2017, Macron and Le Pen took part in the final vote. The first then won with a score of 66.10%, his opponent received 33.90% of the vote.

According to The Economist, Macron will win re-election with 53% of the vote against Le Pen's 47%. The publication estimates the likelihood of a second term for Macron at 78%.
